    These are for classical (i.e. non-N&S) GMOS longslit. They are based on the N&S ones. As for those, they assume that you have all necessary files in a common local working directory.

    Hi German,

    How would one go about combining MEF spectra that have been dithered in the spectral direction by 10 A, where the extensions are ‘SCI’, ‘VAR’, and ‘DQ’? Thanks!

    Hi Joel,
    the gmos iraf package tasks can handle spectral dithering without trouble, in fact most spectroscopic observations with GMOS use spectral dithering. The second script does the spectra combining in my case.

    Do these scripts generate spectra with flux errors?

    Hi German, I had been using red_ls_01.2014feb13.cl script, however when I run to obtain flat calibrations the script crashes. I saw the log file and I found the following error:

    ERROR – GSFLAT: Input file S20060302S0063.fits not of type LONGSLIT or MOS.

    all flat archives are not recognize by the script, I tested with other science objects also.

    I downloaded all files from Gemini data archive. I attached you log file.
