The paper by van Dokkum & Conroy (2011) (ApJL 735, 13) indicates that the Gemini web-site contains a template for the Mauna Kea night sky. Does anyone know where to find this? I haven’t had any luck.

More generally, what strategies would people recommend for correcting GMOS long-slit spectra for telluric absorption? Would it make sense to flux calibrate one’s data first and then correct for this absorption of the other way around?

Can’t help with the strategies, as I’m not a GMOS user. But looks like the data file can be obtained here:

(I put “sky” in the search box on the web page and it’s the third hit).
